:(

I haven't been able to play recently, but I was up early and decided I wanted to log in for an hour before work. But it looks like there was an update, and it will take at least an hour to download!

  1. Hi there Keelut ^^, thanks for reading my monstrous post. Sorry about the update getting in the way of your game time T_T, I hate when that happens too. At least on the brighter side of things there'll be some more content in the game for you to explore!

In regards to your other post about reaching level 20 and finding that the progress has slowed down, it's only natural, especially if you can't find a party. Is there some sort of way members in your Linkshell could form a Level Sync party with you? I know that's why Linkshell tends to do a lot, since it allows for so much more flexibility. In the meantime though, there are lots of things you can do. You can definately start doing more missions, and upon reaching Mission 2-3, you can get a group of friends to help you with it (I won't spoil anything =)). That mission though is definately one of the cooler ones at the beginning. After that, you have a variety of other choices as well, including building fame in the three nations if you're willing to make a few runs, and I do believe there is the option of raising your own Chocobo ^^. Taking up a craft is nice, though it does cost lots of money. My friend and LS member, Gespenst has most of his crafts in the 20s and 30s, and honestly, I respect him for that. Not because of the level he's at, but how much patience, hard work and dedication it takes, not to mention time and money investments @.@. But if you want, there's also fishing, which is rather cheap. It'swhat I did for the longest time. From what I can remember, Bastore Sardines, which are the earliest fish you can catch sell for about 1-1.5k on the Windurst AH, where as Moat Carp (people need tons of this fish to get the infamous Lu Shang's Fishing Rod) will sell for 2k if I'm not mistaken. Both of these fish are pretty low level and you won't take too long to catch them and sell them. While fishing for themthough, you may catch some crayfish and some Quu. Crayfish, you can sell or you can use it to upgrade you cooking. Quus however, I would keep. There's this nice little quest in Bastok that involves the Quus, netting 500 gil each time you run the quest. It's a great way to make gil, especially if you're doing it with a group ^^.

I hope you find moe time to play and explore Vana'diel ^^, and like I said, if you ever ned any assistance and what not, feel free to message me. I hope you don't mind if I add you onto my friends list on FFXI?

  3. Are we on the same server? I guess not. Does our friend list go cross server? Then yes, please add me to your friends list!

I think part of the problem I'm having is that I'm shy. I've joined a linkshell, but I don't know what to say to any of them. Sometimes I throw out a comment and no one says anything, and I just want to hide! It's the same for finding a group. Every group I've joined has been at request. I've never invited anyone. I guess that's why I've been so grateful to Sargon. He's gone out of his way to help me out and be friendly.

I've tried some cloth crafting and it was a lot of fun, but it also used up all my money real quick! I've been saving all the supplies I find, so hopefully I'll be crafting a lot more soon. I guess I'll try out fishing as well.

  4. Unfortunately, we are not on the same server T_T. I will definately add you to my friends list though, since it is cross server. And if fate allows for it one day, I hope we do get to adventure side by side.

As for your linkshell, I can completely understand your situation. I experienced much of the same before creating Shakuzen with Naha and Sharii. If I'm not mistaken, you joined Ichiban on Shiva, right? From what I can see on the forums, they have 65 members, which is a lot, so I'm assuming there are quite a few people on at a time, making LS chat rather busy, or everyone is doing their own thing. That was always the problem I had with very large Social Linkshells >.<, you never really got close with anyone. As for your shyness, even if you're naturally shy, try to make your own party! I was like that when I was first starting too, but once you've put together a few parties and start getting the hang of it, it becomes rather fun ^^. Now, -insert a shameless plug >.>-. If at any time, you would like to roll another character on Valefor, or even transfer over with Keelut (just a suggestion ^_^), Shakuzen will open its doors for you, without question, as it would be an honour to say the least, to have you with us ^^. Another alternative to the Linkshell issue may be...to eventually make your own Linkshell ^^. When I made Shakuzen with Sharii and Naha, we were all only about level 15 back then. At level 20, we all journeyed to Jeuno together to get our Chocobo Licenses ^^. I'm sure that if you wanted to, you could find a good group of people to create your ideal Linkshell on Shiva ^^.

It's great to have someone like Sargon by your side though, my mentor and first friend, Godofmagic (RDM, WHM, BLM, SMN all at 75 >.> wasn't just a name lol) was much the same to me.

Don't give up on yourself and find that hidden leader within you, I'm sure you'll do great!

EDIT: Gargh, friend requests aren't cross servers. It's fine though, I'll just use another one of my extra character slots to generate a character on Shiva and send a character your way once the update finishes up on this second computer of mine XD.

  5. Just created another Koshinaeru on Shiva ^^. We need to arrange a time when we're both on so we can add each other to one another's list =3.

  6. I've created another Koshinaeru for Shiva ^^. I'll be leaving my computer on, so feel free to add whenever you are free Keelut. Befriending requires that both people at the end of the chain are online so XD...Koshi'll be there, waiting.
